ABOUT LISA HANGER, PhD, DipWSET

Lisa holds a PhD in Food Science & Technology and has extensive experience training expert tasters for foods and beverages. These skills are readily applied when teaching wine theory and evaluation to students. In 2021, she completed the WSET Diploma of Wine with Merit. She teaches beginner through Diploma level WSET courses. Besides teaching, she spends her time creating new wine education courses, running wine tasting fundraisers for non-profits and creating custom private tasting events. Her background in food flavors, tasting expertise and wine education provide her with a well-rounded ability to inspire wine passion through everyday experiences. Her goal is for wine lovers to continually expand wines they drink by increasing their knowledge and refining their palate.
