ABOUT ARINDAM BASU, PhD, DipWSET, CSW

Trained as a molecular biologist (PhD in Molecular Biochemistry), I found my passion for wines leading to earning my Diploma in Wines from Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) in 2021. To acquire industry experience, I worked at Penns Woods Winery and as a sommelier at City Winery, Philadelphia. I also taught wine classes at Cooperage in downtown Philadelphia.

Apart from being a wine educator and writer, honing my culinary skills and exploring the BYOB scene in Philadelphia are my weekend hobbies. I love to paint, drink scotch and IPAs, and study for wine certifications.
