ABOUT ANDREW DICK, M.A., dipWSET (Merit)

Growing up in rural Sussex, England, Andrew developed an early love of wine and of the outdoors, embracing both the agricultural methods of his home village and the flavor characteristics of the wine he enjoyed with his family and godparents. After completing studies in Art History at the Masters level from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, Andrew spent a few years in London in the business world before returning to his interests in wine by completing the Level 2 Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) course in London. After achieving this qualification with distinction, Andrew took the next step to bring his skills and enthusiasm for wine to the up-and-coming wine region of southern New Jersey. He subsequently completed the rigorous WSET Diploma programme in Philadelphia, joining the ranks of only ~10,000 graduates worldwide. Andrew is proud to be one of the area’s leading winemakers, striving daily to produce the best wines that the region has to offer. A gifted wine educator and teacher, Andrew’s particular interest is making wine accessible and guiding people to find what they love in wine. He is thrilled to be a part of the instructor team at PhillyWine and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm. Andrew lives in Philadelphia with his wife and daughter.
